The Bank of America Tower in Charlotte was expected to feature prominently in the city’s 2024 Thanksgiving Parade. That prompted the building’s team to seek help in cleaning the stonework of the elevated front entrance and steps. These gorgeous steps had never been cleaned before and were covered in three decades of extreme calcium buildup.
We were contacted by the Charlotte Roman Catholic Diocese midway through their fiscal year and we were charged with defining a scope to address the most pressing cleaning needs on a fixed budget. We worked with our operations team to build a scope that maximized cleaning within budget constraints. Our technicians met some challenges with stubborn organic growth and staining on the nearly 100-year old building but their persistence and patience was rewarded with a fantastic result. The job was finished on time.
Southern Outdoor Restoration was contracted by the HOA of The Wade’s condo association to complete a full property cleaning on an every three year rotation. The scope of service included balcony cleaning, exterior building facade cleaning, precast coping band pressure washing, vented louvre cleaning, hand cleaning of exterior light fixtures and the mailroom, along with exterior window cleaning. Access was a combination of interior coordination to each unit and an 80ft stick boom lift.
We performed a full building pre-treatment and pressure washing followed by exterior window cleaning to remove surface dirt and overspray. We also pressure washed all entranceway and high visibility curbing to brighten up the two entrances to the building.
